Sachin A Billion Dreams, a biopic of cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar was released on Friday. The movie has exceeded all expectations and recorded a fantastic opening weekend at the domestic box office. After a superb opening with the collection of 8.4 crores, the movie witnessed good growth over the first weekend. It performed superbly well on Saturday and Sunday. The movie witnessed a subsequent growth of 10% on Saturday and Sunday.
As per early estimates, Sachin A Billion Dreams 3rd day collection will be around 10.4 crores. The first weekend collection of the movie stands at 28 crores. A 28 crores opening weekend is an exceptional total considering that the film is not a regular Bollywood affair. It is a docu-drama and perhaps Sachin Tendulkar factor has worked in the favour of the movie.
