Spider-Man Homecoming First Weekend Box Office Collection: As expected the movie had a solid opening weekend with 30+ crores opening weekend.

Spider-Man Homecoming had a good opening weekend at the domestic box office. Despite its clash with two Bollywood movies, MOM and Guest Iin London, it emerges as a big winner. The first weekend collection of Spider-Man Homecoming is more than the combined collection of MOM and GIL. As per the official numbers shared by Taran Adarsh, Spider-Man Homecoming earned 30.70 crores in the first weekend including paid previews on Thursday.

With the success of Spider-Man Homecoming, the market of Hollywood movies continues to grow in India. It will be the second clean Hollywood hit of the year after Furious 8. Besides this, movies like Logan, The Mummy, Return Of Xander Cage have also performed well in India. Last year too, The Jungle Book was the third highest grosser after Dangal and Sultan.

Spider-Man franchise has a huge fan following in India which resulted in a good opening at the box office. Moreover, the movie has received superb reviews which have helped it in growth over the weekend. Here’s a look at the day-wise box office collection of the movie:

Friday: 6.75
Saturday: 10.25
Sunday: 11.50
Total: 30.70 crores

With the collection 30.7 crores, Spider-Man Homecoming is the 8th highest opening weekend grosser of 2017. However, if we exclude the Bollywood movies then it is the second highest opening weekend grosser after Furious 8.

In North America, the movie earned $117 million in the first weekend. It is the third highest opening weekend of 2017 behind Beauty and The Beast and Guardians of The Galaxy Volume 2. The film has also collected $140 million in overseas taking the worldwide total to $257 million.
