Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Randeep Hooda and Richa Chadha starrer Sarbjit was released yesterday. The movie was expected to have a decent opening at the Box Office but that didn’t happen. Sarbjit had a poor start in the morning shows with an average occupancy of around 15%. The movie saw some growth in the evening and late night show but that wasn’t enough to save the day. As per official reports, Sarbjit 1st day Box Office collection is 3.69 crores.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted:
#Sarbjit Fri ₹ 3.69 cr. India biz… Had better occupancy in evening/night shows.

The real problem with Sarbjit is that despite being a hard-hitting biopic, the movie has received mixed reviews from critics. Despite being promoted vigorously, the movie wasn’t able to create the buzz it should have. As written by us earlier, the Box Office fate of Sarbjit depends on the WOM and reviews. Considering the opening day reports and the reviews, the movie will find it difficult to sustain at the Box Office.
The biggest relief for the makers is that the budget of the movie is low and a couple of good days at Box Office would be enough to place it in the safe zone.
