Dear Zindagi First day Collection: Shah Rukh Khan & Alia Bhatt starrer Dear Zindagi collected 8.75 crores on the opening day.
Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt starrer Dear Zindagi is off to a superb opening at the domestic Box Office. The movie registers an occupancy of around 50% on the opening day with high-end metros like Delhi, Mumbai, Gurgaon and Eats Punjab being the best-performing circuits. As per the official numbers shared by Taran Adarsh, the first day collection of Dear Zindagi is 8.75 crores.
The first day collection of Dear Zindagi is 13th Highest of 2016. It is better than other niche movies like ‘Kapoor & Sons’ and ‘Ki and Ka’.
This is a good start for a niche movie which is targeted mainly at the multiplex audience. The presence of SRK has made a lot of difference. Without Shah Rukh, the first-day collection would have been around 5 crores.
Dear Zindagi First day Collection: Way Ahead
The movie has received good reviews from critics. The WOM of the general audience is also positive. After a good opening day, the movie is expected to witness good growth on Saturday and Sunday. We are expecting Dear Zindagi to collect around 35 crores in the first weekend.
Dear Zindagi is made on a budget of 50 crores excluding Shah Rukh Khan’s salary. Dear Zindagi All India Rights has been sold for 32 crores to NH Studioz. The movie needs to collect 65 crores in India to be called a hit at the Box Office.
The producers of the movie have played it safe as the movie has recovered its budget through India theatrical, overseas rights, music rights and satellite rights.
Considering the performance on the opening day, we can expect Dear Zindagi to have a good run at the Box Office. The movie is likely to be in a safe zone by the end of the second weekend.
