Box Office Report 17 Feb 2016 – Fitoor continues to struggle while Sanam Re holding well on weekdays.
Katrina Kaif and Aditya Roy Kapur starrer Fitoor continues to struggle at the domestic Box Office. After a low opening weekend with the collection of 14.11 crores, the movie continued its poor trend on weekdays and collected 1.65 crores and 1.45 crores on Monday and Tuesday respectively. Fitoor now stands at the total collection of 17.21 crores. The movie will end its first week with the collection of around 20 crores which is poor considering the huge budget and names associated with it.
The performance of the movie is poor than most of the Bollywood releases this week. This is not a good sign as the movie is expected to wrap up its Box Office journey by the end of this week only. Fitoor is the biggest flop of 2016 till now in terms of ROI. Made on a big budget of 55 crores, the movie will turn out to be a big failure for producers and distributors.
Talking about the other release, Sanam Re, the movie is holding well in small cities and mass centers. After a decent opening weekend, the movie remains stable and earned 2.56 crore and 2.2 crores on Monday and Tuesday respectively. The movie has recovered its budget of 35 crores through music, satellite and overseas rights. ‘Sanam Re’ turned out to be a profitable venture for T-Series. Standing at the total collection of 21.81 crores, the movie is expected to remain steady in coming days as there is no competition in mass centers.
