After an average opening with the collection of 4.32 crores, the movie witnessed tremendous growth over the weekend to take its total collection value to 21+ crores. Pink witnessed a superb growth of around 75% on Saturday and the trade experts were expecting a huge Sunday. Well, this is what exactly happened. The movie saw huge jump for around 20% on Sunday. As per the trade estimates, the third day collection of the movie will be around 10 crores.

In Central India circuit, Pink witnessed growth from 9.5 Lacs on Friday to 15.5 Lacs on Saturday to 24.5 lacs on Sunday. The movie performed best in high-end metros like Delhi, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore etc.

The first-weekend collection of the movie of Pink is either 14th or 15th highest of 2016 depending on the final numbers. The movie has beaten the opening weekend collection of movies like Azhar, Wazir Baar Baar Dekho. Pink is trending exactly like Neerja which after a low opening went on to collect 22.01 crores in the opening weekend. Neerja holds solidly for two weeks and ends up being a super hit with the lifetime collection of 76 crores. Pink is following the same path as Neerja and it won’t be surprising if the movie emerges as one of the surprise hits of 2016.
