Fan 3rd Day Box Office Collection: Shahrukh Khan starrer Fan Crosses 50 Crore Mark On Sunday, Registered Highest Opening Weekend Of 2016.
Shahrukh Khan’s Fan hasn’t been able to perform as per expectations. The movie opened big with the first day collection of 19.2 crores but hasn’t been able to carry on the momentum over the weekend. It saw a big drop on the second day and collected only 15.4 crores. On Sunday, the movie witnessed some improvement but that wasn’t enough to make it a big opening weekend.
As per early reports, Fan collected around 18 crores on the third day to take the first weekend total to 52.6 crores. The movie has registered the highest opening weekend of 2016 but still the numbers are not satisfactory considering Shahrukh Khan’s star power at the Box Office.
Fan First Weekend Box Office Collection: Day-Wise Report
Fan 1st Day Box Office Collection: 19.2 crores (Highest opening day of 2016)
Fan 2nd Day Box Office Collection: 15.4 crores
Fan 3rd Day Box Office Collection: 17.75 crores
Fan 1st weekend collection: 52.35 crores (Highest opening weekend of 2016)
The average occupancy on Sunday was higher than Saturday but lower than the opening day. The movie performed solidly in metros and multiplexes but it remained low in mass circuits and single screens. West Bengal, Mumbai and Delhi remained the best regions with an average occupancy of around 60% on Sunday.
‘Fan’ is performing way below expectations. Ideally, the movie should have crossed 65+ crores in the first weekend itself. The movie hasn’t shown any growth over the weekend which is a worrying sign for SRK and team. The movie needs to hold well throughout the weekdays as the budget is on the higher side (105 crores).
The first weekend collection of Fan is lower than SRK’s last three releases, Dilwale (65.09 crores), Happy New Year (108.86 crores) and Chennai Express (102.6 crores).
