Brahmastra Advance Booking Report: Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s movie looking for a big opening with more than 1.3 tickets sold for Day 1.
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer Brahmastra is one of the most anticipated movies of 2022. Directed by Ayan Mukherjee, the movie will finally hit the theatres on Sep 9, after being postponed multiple times. The hype around Brahmastra’s release is real as the tickets are selling at a fast pace despite the Boycott trend on social media. The advance booking started a week prior to release. Ranbir Kapoor starrer has already recorded the highest advances for a Hindi film in 2022, beating Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. It has also beaten the Hindi version of SS Rajamouli’s RRR in advances. Ayan Mukherjee’s directional is looking to take on Bollywood’s blockbusters, with two more days left for the release.
Brahmastra advance booking till Tuesday, September 7
Brahmastra has sold over 1.30 lakh tickets in national chains for the opening day till September 7. It has sold over 2.50 lakh plus tickets for the opening weekend in the three national chains. For the opening weekend, Brahmastra has already sold over 1.17 lakh tickets at PVR.
Brahmastra is now competing with Bollywood biggies like Tiger Zinda Hai, Sultan, and Dangal. However, it is still way far behind Thugs Of Hindostan, War, and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. The only disadvantage Brahmastra has is that it is a non-holiday release unlike the movies mentioned above.

Our estimates suggest that Brahmastra advance ticket sales would be around 2.4 Lakhs for the opening day. An opening day ticket sales for 2+ Lakh is a big numbers considering how recent Bollywood movies have struggled at the box office.
Watch Brahmastra with 3D experience
Akshaye Rathi, a film exhibitor and distributor, mentioned the pre-booking for Brahmastra, saying, “A massive amount of tickets for 3D shows have already been sold. The audience has deduced from advertisements and VFX teasers that watching Brahmastra in 3D will provide the best experience, which is the simple explanation.” According to Rathi, the audience wants to see the epic spectacle in theatres.
The public has expressed interest to watch this spectacle on a large screen. If the early response to the advance is any indication, Brahmastra is set for a huge opening at the box office.
International Sale of Tickets
According to reports, Brahmastra is doing well; in the American market, the movie has paid screenings one day before its theatrical debut, and the crowd seems to be interested in the film. Indeed, only from the sales of paid preview tickets, Brahmastra has grossed USD 250K [Rs 1.99 crore] in international theatres.

Brahmastra has sold more over 1 lakh tickets for its opening weekend, according to a statement sent by the theatre chain, PVR, on social media. “Were you lucky enough to get your tickets to #Brahmastra?”, the chain’s official account asked in a post that included an image from the movie and a booking. Prediction: What would be Brahmastra’s opening day collection?
Bhramastra is all set to take the biggest opening of 2022 for Bollywood. Currently, Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is the highest opener for Bollywood with Rs 14.11 Crore. The Hindi dubbed version of KGF 2 collected Rs 53.95 Crore while Hindi dubbed version of RRR earned Rs 20.07 Crore on Day 1.
Early estimates suggest that Brahmastra opening day collection would be Rs 25+ Crore. Bollywood is looking to bounce back with this magnum opus that stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Mouni Roy and Shah Rukh Khan (special appearance).
