As years pass by, we all grow a little wiser and a little more mature. But unlike Sheldon Cooper who is wiser than us and more mature than us from the day he was born, continues his journey in Season 6 of CBS’s Young Sheldon.

CBS renewed the series for a fifth, sixth, and seventh season back in March 2021. Fans are very excited to watch what happens next after Sheldon completes his second semester of college in season 5.

The president of CBS Entertainment, Kelly Kahl called the show dominating and that it had caught the attention of over 2.5 million viewers and is CBS’s top-rated comedy show.

The show’s creative team promised not to postpone any episodes due to unimportant issues and that the episodes will air as scheduled in the fall. Here’s everything you need to know about Young Sheldon Season 6.

Young Sheldon Season 6 Cast

There have been no changes in the cast. Iain Armitage will continue to appear as young Sheldon Cooper. Zoe Perry as Mary Cooper, Sheldon’s mother, and Lance Barber as George Cooper Sr., Sheldon’s father. Montana Jordan as George Cooper Jr., Sheldon’s elder brother. Raegan Revord as Missy Cooper, Seldon’s twin sister. Annie Potts as Meemaw, Sheldon’s grandma. Other than that, Jim Parsons will continue his narration as Sheldon Cooper. Emily Osment who plays the role of Mandy McAllister is now promoted to the main cast for season 6.

Young Sheldon Season 6 Plot

The series has seen a pattern of chronological order. Season 5 marked the end of Sheldon’s first semester of college and Season 6 will show Young Sheldon entering his teen years. According to the Big Bang Theory, Sheldon’s father is said to have died when he was just 14, but that might be the pivotal plot point for season 7 of the show.

It is unknown if we will see Sheldon’s sophomore year in college and Georgie’s senior year in high school as well as his graduation from high school.

Young Sheldon Season 6 Release Date

The series was renewed in March 2021, by CBS for a fifth, sixth, and seventh season. Season 6 premieres on September 29, 2022, on CBS.
