Akshay Kumar will play the antagonist in the sequel of Rajinikanth starrer ‘Robot 2’.
After the success of his recent flick Airlift, Akshay Kumar is all geared up to team up with Rajinikanth as the main villain in the sequel of hit sci-fi film ‘Robot‘.
In an interview with PTI Akshay Kumar was spotted saying that he would love to be punched by a superhero like Rajinikanth.
“I feel like I am on top of the world. It’s alright getting kicked and punched. I have done that all my life. It is great to be punched by a superhero like Rajinikanth, I am looking forward to playing a negative role. It will be an honour,” said Akshay.
He further added about the preparations for his role,
“I am not doing any preparations… No training as such yet. There is no training for it. I just have to condition my jaw that’s it,”
When Äkshay was asked about his first meeting with Superstar Rajinikanth, He said, “There were 15 people waiting for him. Everyone was just looking at him. He was having a tea and there was some dust on his trousers, he cleaned it and everybody heaved a sigh of relief. I tried doing the same thing but no one looked at me.”
Directed by S. Shankar, Robot (Enthiran 2.0) is an upcoming sci-fi film and will feature Akshay Kumar, Rajnikanth and Amy Jackson in lead roles. The film is scheduled to release in 2017.
