Prabhas is all set to start working on Saaho and the search for the leading lady is on. Things got out of hand when Shraddha Kapoor asks for 8 crores!
The makers of Saaho are looking for the perfect leading lady opposite Prabhas. But the task is not an easy one as they are looking for a Bollywood actress. Among all the ladies they approached, Shraddha Kapoor asks for 8 crore while Disha Patani asks for 5 crore. That too when Shraddha’s last two films have flopped and Disha has not even set her foot properly in Bollywood.
“Shraddha was our first choice. She heard us out and was almost jumping with excitement during the narration. Then, she quoted a price that had the team running out of her residence as fast as possible. She wanted Rs 8 crore. We were shocked. We don’t pay that kind of money to actors in Telugu cinema. But she wouldn’t budge. She was like, ‘I love the script and I’d love to work with Prabhas. But the price remains unchanged.’ We fled.”
The makers also approached Disha Patani for the role and she was one step ahead of Shraddha. This is what the sources have to say-
“She started her career in Telugu cinema. So we thought she would be keenly interested in the project, as it stars Prabhas. Disha wouldn’t meet us. When she finally did, she said she’d let us know. Later, her team members informed us that she liked the script, but would want Rs 5 crore as her fee. We want to know which Bollywood producer pays Disha that kind of money?”
Well, it is quite clear that these ladies have got their hopes up quite a bit too much and this can prove a bit dangerous for their careers, especially in Disha’s case who started out with Telugu cinema itself. What are your thoughts?
