Vikram Box Office Collection: Kamal Haasan’s Movie Beats Baahubali 2 in Tamil Nadu

Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi, and Fahadh Faasil’s crime-thriller ‘Vikram’ is unstoppable at the box office. It has surpassed Baahubali 2’s lifetime numbers in Tamil Nadu.

Kamal Haasan’s comeback movie Vikram is shattering box office records. The crime drama movie marks Haasan’s return to big screens after 10 years. Since its release on June 3, 2022, Vikram is having a dream run at the box office especially in the home state Tamil Nadu.

In a rare feat, Vikram has surpassed the 5-year long-standing record of Baahubali 2 in the state. It has become the first-ever Tamil movie to gross the Rs 150 Crore mark in the state. Till June 19, 2022, Vikram’s box office collection in Tamil Nadu stands at Rs 155+ Crore. Vikram is now the highest-grossing movie in the state beating Baahubali 2 which collected Rs 146 Crore.

Not only in Tamil Nadu, but Kamal Haasan starrer also has an exceptional outing in the overseas market. As of June 19, 2022, it has grossed Rs 360 Crore worldwide. It is now the second-highest-grossing Tamil movie globally only behind Rajinikanth’s 2.0 (Rs 655 Crore). We are not considering Baahubali, Baahubali 2, and Saaho because these are multilingual movies.
