Veerappan Trailer Review: How Asia’s biggest manhunt unfolded

Presenting the gripping Veerappan Trailer, directed by Ram Gopal Varma.

Veerappan is an upcoming docudrama film written and directed by Ram Gopal Varma. The movie features Sandeep Bhardwaj, Sachiin J Joshi, Usha Jadhav and Lisa Ray. in lead roles. The Veerappan trailer is all about guns, bombs and the mischievous Veerappan.

Veerappan is based on the real story of Veerappan, an infamous Sandalwood smuggler and dacoit who was active for years in the forest lands of Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu. The movie is based on the events leading to Operation Cocoon to capture or kill Veerappan. NSD-trained Sandeep Bharadwaj is seen in the role of Veerappan and he looks rather convincing in the role.

The trailer gives us a lot of information about the man- He killed 97 policemen, 184 civilians, 900 elephants. Am amount of 734 crores were spent to capture him. This is the story of the biggest manhunt of Asia. It took 20 years to kill Veerappan.

Produced by Raina Sachiin Joshi, Aniket Khandagale is the cinematographer of the film and Jeet Ganguly has scored the music. Veerappan is the Hindi remake of Ram Gopal Varma’s Kannada directorial debut Killing Veerappan which released on January 1, 2016. It will be releasing on 27th May, 2016.
