After waiting for almost two years, we will get Upload Season 2 in March 2022.

In May 2020, Greg Daniels, the creator of The Office and Space Force, came up with a comedy-drama series on Amazon Prime, titled Upload. The show was appreciated for its uniqueness, funny and heartfelt elements. The series takes place in the near future, where people can be “uploaded” into a virtual afterlife of their choice.

It follows Nathan Brown (Robbie Amell), a young app developer, who dies prematurely. He is uploaded to the very expensive Lake View but then finds himself under the thumb of his possessive, still-living girlfriend Ingrid. As Nathan adjusts in the digital heaven and befriends his angel (real-world handler), questions about his death arise.

On May 8, 2020, just seven days after the premiere of Season 1, Amazon Studios confirmed Upload will have a second season. Greg Daniels said, “I am thrilled to continue a great relationship with Amazon Studios and this wonderful cast and find out what happens next to Nora and Nathan and Ingrid and their 2033 world with this news I can stop drawing my season 2 flipbook.”

The fans have been eagerly waiting for the next season of Upload to drop on Prime Video. After waiting for almost two years, Upload Season 2 is finally coming on the streamer. Here’s everything you need to know.

Upload Season 2 Plot

It is highly anticipated that the narrative will pick up with Nora and Byron in the Poconos, Nathan frozen at 2G status, and Ingrid recently uploading to be with him. Since the first season ended with a brilliant cliffhanger, the fans are waiting for the next season with bated breath.

Amazon Studios head Jennifer Salke said season 2 would also be a “smart, cinematic comedy crackling with intrigue. We know our global fans want to see the next chapter with Nathan and Nora, so we are greenlighting season two and are excited that Greg’s passion project has found such a devoted audience,” she added.

The upcoming season will have to answer several questions creeping into the viewer’s mind. How did Ingrid upload to Lakeview (was it suicide?). How will the love triangle between Nathan, Nora, and Ingrid (or a square, if we include Byron) be resolved?. What will the future hold for Nathan’s and Jamie’s Beyond program?. Who exactly murdered Nathan? We can expect the upcoming season to be a purely engaging and engrossing one combined with some spectacular reveals.
