Top 3 Hindi OTT Releases Of The Week: Loop Lapeta. The Great Indian Murder and Rocket Boys

February 2022 is going to be an exciting month for entertainment lovers. Some highly anticipated movies including Gehraaiyaan, 83, Looop Lapeta will premiere this month on OTT. Well, we would talk about this month’s release in the other post. For the time, let’s have a detailed look at the top 3 Hindi OTT releases of this week.

Looop Lapeta (Streaming on Netflix from Feb 4, 2022)

The first is Taapsee Pannu and Tahir Raj Bhasin starrer sci-fi thriller Looop Lapeta. Directed by Aakash Bhatia, Looop Lapeta is an adaptation of Tom Tykwer’s 1998 German cult classic Run Lola Run.

Tapsee plays Savi who races against the clock to get 50 lakhs in 50 minutes to save her boyfriend Satya (Tahir). However, soon she comes to realize that she’s stuck in a time loop and needs to get out of it. The trailer looks interesting and fans have high expectations from the movie. Looop Lapeta premiere on Netflix on Feb 4, 2022.

The Great Indian Murder (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from Feb 4, 2022)

Another big release of the week is Tigmanshu Dhulia’s The Great Indian Murder. TGIM stars Scam 1992 star Pratik Gandhi and Richa Chadha in lead roles. It also stars talented actors like Ashutosh Rana, Himanshi Choudhary, Raghuvir Yadav, Sharib Hashmi and Paoli Dam.

Richa and Pratik playing investigating officers have been assigned the murder case of a politician’s (Ashutosh Rana) son Vicky Rai. Vicky has been acquitted of killing a bartender in New Delhi. Based on the Book “Six Suspects” by Vikas Swarup, the show reveals the lives and motives of the six suspects.

Rocket Boys (Streaming on Sony LIV from Feb 4, 2022)

Sony LIV’s Rocket Boys is bringing the story of two incredible Indian scientists, Homi Bhabha and Vikram Sarabhai on screen. The show showcases the achievements of the two great scientists in India’s nuclear energy and space programs.

Set in the pre and post Independence era, the show also features the life of former President APJ Abdul Kalam. Directed by Abhay Pannu, the biographical drama stars Jim Sarbh, Ishwak Singh, Regina Cassandra, Saba Azad, Rajit Kapoor, Arjun Radhakrishnan among others.
