Liden Films (the studio behind Tokyo Revengers Season 1) hasn’t officially announced Season 2. However, some reports are circulating that the second season is in production. According to Yahoo News Japan, the second season of the anime series is already in production.
According to Yahoo News Japan, the news about Tokyo Revengers Season 2 came from Tatsuhisa Suzuki, the voice actor who played Ken Ryūgūji in the first season of Tokyo Revengers.
If the second season is indeed in production then we can expect Liden Films to announce it by the end of 2021 or in early 2022. This is certainly exciting news not only for Tokyo Revengers fans but for the anime community as well.
What Tokyo Ravengers is about?
Based on the manga series of the same name, “Tokyo Revengers” is about Takemichi, 26 years old boy who has nothing going in his favour. He finds out that his ex-girlfriend, Hinata Tachibana, and her younger brother have been killed by the Tokyo Manji Gang. Takemichi feels shattered, but then he gets the chance to change his fortune when he is suddenly transported back in time 12 years. Takemichi uses this opportunity to warn Hinata, and when he returns to the present day, she is still alive. Unfortunately, his actions cause other unforeseen issues.
