Toilet: Ek Prem Katha Third Weekend Collection: With the collection of 129.25 crores, TEPK is now Akshay Kumar’s 2nd highest grosser.

Akshay Kumar’s Toilet: Ek Prem Katha is having a good run at the domestic box office. After a superb opening week with the collection of 96.05 crores, the movie saw a considerable growth in the second week because of new releases, Bareilly Ki Barfi and Annabelle: Creation. Despite a huge drop in the second week, the movie remained steady in its third weekend.

The movie saw a huge drop on its third Friday thanks to the release of news films this week. The movie earned 1 crore on its third Friday and saw a decent growth on Saturday and Sunday. Toilet: Ek Prem Katha is running on around 700 screens and is facing tough competition from new and holdover releases. Let’s have a look at the third weekend:

First Week: 96.05 crores
Second Week:  28.7 crores
Day 15: 1 crore
Day 16: 1.5 crores
Day 17: 2 crores
Third Weekend: 4.5 crores

With the collection of 129.25 crores, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha has now become Akshay Kumar’s 2nd highest grossing movie. It has beaten the lifetime collection of Baby, ‘Singh Is Bliing’, Brothers and ‘Gabbar Is Back’, Holiday, Housefull 2, Jolly LLB 2, Housefull 3, Rustom and Airlift.

TEPK It is Akshay Kumar’s 8th movie to enter 100 crore club. He has the second most 100 crore movies to his name. Salman Khan is at the top with eleven 100 crore movies to his name. Comparison with other films of 2017

Talking about films of 2017, Toilet: Ek Pre Katha is now the third grosser of 2017 after Bahubali 2 and Raees. It has beaten the lifetime collection of Tubelight, Badrinath Ki Dulhania and Jolly LLB 2. TEPK still need 9 crores to beat the lifetime collection of Raees (138 crores) and emerge as the highest grossing film of 2017.  It looks difficult now as the competition is tough from new and holdover releases.
