Season 4 started airing on USA Network on October 13, 2021, and ran for eight episodes ending the show on December 1, 2021. For international viewers, Season 4 will start streaming on Netflix from Jan 26, 2022. Users with Netflix in USA and Canada have to wait long. Sadly, The Sinner will not be returning for season 5 as Derek Simonds confirmed that the fourth season would be its last instalment. The network says that season 4 concludes with “a satisfying close to Ambrose’s journey.”

The Sinner Season 4 Cast

The cast of THe Sinner keeps changing every season, with the only constant cast member being Bill Pullman (Harry Ambrose). The Sinner Plot and Premise

As in any horror and thriller series or movie, The Sinner keeps the viewers on their toes. The show follows Harry Ambrose, a police detective trying to investigate crimes committed by unlikely performers and reveal their motivations.

Before we delve into the story of Season 4, here is a quick look at what happened in the previous 3 seasons:

  • In the first season, Detective Harry Ambrose delved into the past of the troubled woman, Cola Tanetti, to find out why she stabbed a man.
  • In Season 2, Ambrose returns to his hometown after a boy named Julian Walker confesses that he poisoned his mother and father and learns the secrets the inhabitants are trying to keep under covers.
  • The third Season saw Ambrose investigate a fatal car accident in northern New York and revealed the much more significant and more dangerous incident behind it.

Season 4 of The Sinner finds Harry confronting his inner demons. Harry travels to Maine with his girlfriend Sonya (played by Jessica Hecht), where he meets Percy, the daughter of a prominent family in Maine. When Percy dies, all eyes are on Harry to uncover what happened and bring the truth out.
