The Politician is a Netflix original, American comedy-drama series with many endearing qualities which deals with real-life problems as such flaws of democratic system but in a funny and entertaining way. The Politician Season 2: Plot & Trailer
The first season of ‘The Politician’ deals with a wealthy high-school student Payton Hobart (Ben Platt) who has always known that he is going to be the president of United States. But becoming a renowned high school student was the first step.
Coming back to season 2, the trailer of The Politician Season 2 dropped four days before the season comes out, that is on June 15th. The trailer seems quite interesting with a hilarious plot as well. The betrayals and drama will come forward in the battle for governing position.
Dede (Judith Light) and our young Payton (Ben Platt) are standing against each other for the position of Vice President. Heavy secrets and manipulation are going to unfold from both sides. In brief, as described on the trailer, the plot would be amid rousing speeches and idealistic goals, throuple and double agents complicate Payton’s quixotic campaign for state senate.

The main character is definitely returning for season 2 that is, Payton Hobart played by Ben Platt. Some of the former cast from season 1 returning are Julia Schlaepfer as Alice Charles, Lucy Boynton as Astrid, Theo Germain as James as well as Laura Dreyfuss as McAfee.
