There is no stopping to Vivek Agnihotri’s film. Despite competition from Akshay Kumar’s new release Bachchan Pandey, The Kashmir Files remained the first choice for moviegoers. In fact, it registered its biggest single-day total on the eighth day of its release.
The Kashmir Files records its highest numbers on Holi, which pretty much tells how gratefully the audience has accepted it. Despite competition from biggies like Radhe Shyam and Gangubai Kathiawadi, and now Bachchan Pandey, The Kashmir Files has been the first choice for the moviegoers since its release.
The Kashmir Files Box Office Report: Day-Wise Collection
The Kashmir Files has been sensational at the box office since its release. Debuted on 600 screens across the country, it earned Rs 3.55 crore on its opening day. It witnessed incredible growth over the weekend, collecting Rs 8.5 Crore and Rs 15.1 Crore on Saturday and Sunday respectively. With high demand, the screen count increased to 2000 on Sunday.
On Monday, the movie put up strong numbers, collecting Rs 15.05 Crore. On Tuesday, The Kashmir Files witnessed good growth and collected around Rs 18 Crore. Now, the six-day (Wednesday) collection is Rs 19.05 Crore. In its opening week, The Kashmir Files collected Rs 97+ Crore.
Well, this is simply unbelievable. While other movies fall flat or struggle to sustain on weekdays, The Kashmir Files numbers are only getting better. We haven’t seen any movie in the last 25 years trending like this at the box office.
Now, the movie has started the second week on a strong note. As per the reports coming, The Kashmir Files 8th day collection is Rs 19.15 Crore. The 8th-day collection of TKF is at par with Baahubali 2 (Rs 19.75 Crore) and Dangal (Rs 18.59 Crore).
The total collection of TKF after 8 days stands at Rs 116.45 Crore. It is already an All-time blockbuster.
The Kashmir Files Box Office Verdict and Expected Lifetime Numbers
Made in a budget of Rs 15 Crore, The Kashmir Files is already a mega-blockbuster with a collection of around Rs 115+ Crore. While it is confirmed that the movie will soon cross the Rs 150 Crore mark, even the trade experts aren’t sure about lifetime numbers. The sky is the limit now.
The second-week collection of the movie is expected to be in the same range as the first week. In the second week, the movie will take full advantage of the Holi festival holidays. Trade experts believe that in the second weekend the collection of The Kashmir Files will see a huge jump.
Akshay Kumar’s most-awaited Bachchan Pandey is off to a decent start. However, its opening day numbers are nowhere close to The Kashmir Files’ 8th day collection.
