Tenet movie still

Tenet did pretty well on its opening day considering the present situation, gets the best response since the reopening of theatres in October.

Christopher Nolan’s much-awaited sci-fi thriller Tenet has finally found its way to the theatres in India on Dec 4, 2020. As per the reports coming, Tenet is off to a pretty good start at the Indian box office. As per reports in Box Office India, Tenet collected around Rs 1.1-1.2 crore nett on its first day. It is the best response we have seen at the box office since the reopening of theatres in October.

Being one of the most awaited films of 2020, Tenet recorded excellent advance booking. The film opened to packed houses as IMAX screens, getting to the capacity which is permitted now. Box office India also states that Tenet managed to sell about 70000 tickets on its first day which is a pretty good number considering the current situation. The public is still reluctant in going to the cinema halls even though utmost precautions are in place amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Written and directed by Christopher Nolan, Tenet is a twisted time travel story of an agent who manipulates the flow of time to prevent World War III. The time travel film stars John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Dimple Kapadia, Michael Caine and Kenneth Branagh in the lead roles.

Tenet is a nice film not meant for everyone. So, it would be interesting to see, how it performs at the box office in the coming days. Over the past few months, Tenet has been getting a release across the world. This partly release has lead to the piracy of the film.

It was released in The United States on Sep 3, 2020. Made in a budget of $200 million, Tenet has so far collected more than $350 million worldwide.
