Tamasha First Day Collection – Tamasha collected 10.87 crores on its opening day at the domestic Box Office.
Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone starer Tamasha has got off to a decent start at the Indian Box Office. As per trade, Tamasha first day collection is 10.87 crores. Tamasha released on 2100 screens across the country. The movie opened to an occupancy of around 40% in the morning shows. As expected, the opening was best in high-end metros like Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad and Jaipur. The movie witnessed robust growth in the evening and late night shows with occupancy as high as 70%.

With 10.87 crores, Tamasha will be the 8th highest opening day grosser of 2015 beating Dil Dhadakne Do (10.53 crores) and Roy (10.4 crores). However, Tamasha was unable to beat the opening day collection of GIB (13.05 crores) and Shaandaar (13.1 crores).
Tamasha is Ranbir Kapoor’s third highest opening day grosser after Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani (19.45 crores) and Besharam (21.56 crores).
The reviews and ratings were mixed from the critics. The WOM from the public is also mixed with some people liked it while others quoted it as a boring movie.
After a good opening day, Tamasha needs to maintain a good pace throughout the opening weekend to emerge as a Box Office winner. The movie needs to perform well for at least two weeks to recover its budget of 80 crores.
