Superman & Lois premiered on The CW on Feb 23, 2021. It’s been an irregular release schedule thanks to the pandemic. The show took a long break in April and May for eight weeks and returned on TV screens on May 18, 2021. It took another two-week break and returned last week on July 13, 2021.
The first season of Superman & Lois has 15 episodes as revealed on its fandom page. Originally, the first season was planned to have 13 episodes but was extended. The show is now on two weeks break. It will return on Aug 10, 2021, for episode 14 to be followed by the season 1 finale on Aug 17, 2021.

In episode 13, titled ‘Fail Safe,’ Leslie Larr tries to attack the DOD facility housing Morgan Edge. However, Superman and Irons intercept and capture him. With the final Kryptonian captured, Sam wants to dismiss Project 7734, but Superman rejects the idea and wants to preserve the weapons as a fail safe. Lois disagrees but finally accepts on the condition that the DOD hands the project over to Irons.
Sam wants to hide the story of what really happened with Edge. Initially, Lois agrees, but after seeing the hardships faced by the Cushings, she leaks the real story to Chrissy. In his Kryptonite chamber, Morgan Edge remembers his training days when his father used to abuse him. This has perhaps opened his dark side. He allows the Eradicator to take over his mind and escapes the DOD facility.

The CW renewed ‘Superman & Lois’ for a second season in March 2021. However, its release date is not out yet. The CW has announced the premiere date of shows coming in fall 2021 and Superman & Lois Season 2 is not on the list. So, expect it to arrive next year in Feb or March.
