Street Dancer 3D 1st Day Box Office Collection: Varun Dhawan’s Dance Film Is Off To An Average Opening.
As predicted by us Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor starrer ‘Street Dancer 3D’ is off to a decent start. While the trade experts were expecting a huge collection, I predicted an average opening as the pre-release buzz wasn’t that good. As per the reports coming, the film recorded around 20% occupancy in the morning shows. Let’s have a detailed look at Street Dancer 3D 1st day box office collection and occupancy report.
Street Dancer 1st day occupancy report
The film recorded around 20% occupancy in the morning shows. This is a decent start considering that the film is released on 3700 screens and its a normal day. However, we can’t expect huge growth in the latter half of the day as the word of mouth is strictly mixed. Moreover, the pre-release buzz was low considering the star cast.
The morning shows occupancy is in the same range as Tanhaji. But Ajay Devgn starrer saw a big turnaround in the second half of the day. Street Dancer 3D, on the other hand, hasn’t witnessed good growth in the evening and night shows. Here’s a look at the first day occupancy of Street Dancer 3D:-

Street Dancer 3D 1st day box office collection is just Rs 10.26 crore. This is a poor start for the film released on 3700 screens. Trade experts were expecting a minimum Rs 15 crore opening from the film. The prequel ABCD 2 released in 2015 collected Rs 14.3 crore on its opening day.

For Varun Dhawan, Street Dancer 3D is his fourth highest opening day grosser. It failed to beat ABCD 2, Judwaa 2 and Kalank. With poor reviews and word of mouth, Street Dancer 3D would find it difficult to sustain after the opening weekend.
