Stranger Things Season 4 release: There have been a lot of rumours about the release of the fourth season of Stranger Things.
The fans of Netflix original series ‘Stranger Things‘ are keenly waiting for its fourth season to land on Netflix. It’s been around two years since the last season premiered and we still don’t have any official release date in sight for Season 4. Stranger Things season 4 is one of the most anticipated shows of 2021 and fans just can’t wait to watch the new episodes.
Netflix renewed Stranger Things for season four in Sep 2019, soon after season 3 arrived on the streamer in July 2019. Even after almost two years of its official announcement, we don’t have any concrete information about the next season’s release date.
The filming for the fourth season started in Dec 2019. It was scheduled to wrap up in Aug 2020. However, due to the pandemic, the production was put on hold for around seven months. The filming resumed in Oct 2020 and it wrapped up in Sep 2021.
Meanwhile, considering the anticipation for the show’s next season, Netflix has kept the audience engaged with sneak peeks released over the past few weeks. The streaming giant released a teaser on May 6 making all of us even more excited for season four. The rumours started doing rounds that season 4 would release soon. However, there is some bad news as the fans have to wait for months before the next season arrives on Netflix.
Stranger Things season 4 release date
The fans are super excited but they have to be patient till Stranger Things season 4 premieres in 2022 as confirmed by Finn Wolfhard. In an interview, Finn Wolfhard said season 4 “should be out sometime next year.” The fans are definitely disappointed, as they were hoping season 4 to arrive in 2021.
With production wrapped up in September 2021, it’s possible that we could see Stranger Things season 4 in the first quarter of 2022. Our best bet would be April 2022 as there are rumours that season 4 will take place in April 1986. Stranger Things release dates often reflect the time of year during that season.
