Stranger Things Season 4 Will Be Split in Two Parts, Premiere Dates Announced for Both
Stranger Things Season 4

Stranger Things season four gets a premiere date. The upcoming season will be split into two parts.

On Thursday, the streaming giant revealed the premiere date for the long-awaited fourth season of Stranger Things. The upcoming will be split into two parts. Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 1 will premiere on May 27, 2022,  followed by Volume 2 on July 1, 2022. Creators Matt and Ross Duffer declared in a letter to fans posted on Netflix’s blog.

“With nine scripts, over 800 pages, almost two years of filming, thousands of visual effects shots, and a runtime nearly twice the length of any previous season, ‘Stranger Things 4’ was the most challenging season yet, but also the most rewarding one. Everyone involved is incredibly proud of the results, and we can’t wait to share it with you.

Given the unprecedented length, and to get it to you as soon as possible, Season 4 will be released in two volumes. Volume One will release on May 27; Volume Two will release five weeks later on July 1. So that’s the good news. It’s coming soon. And it’s better than ever. It’s also the beginning of the end.”

Duffer Brothers have also revealed that the show has been renewed for a fifth and final season.

“Seven years ago, we planned out the complete story arc for Stranger Things. At the time, we predicted the story would last four to five seasons. It proved too large to tell in four, but — as you’ll soon see for yourselves — we are now hurtling toward our finale. Season 4 will be the penultimate season; season 5 will be the last.”

It’s been a long wait for Stranger Things fans. The third season dropped on the streamer way back in July 2019. So, it’s almost three years and finally, we have news that the fourth season is arriving.

As per the reports, Season 4 of the sci-fi horror mystery has 9 episodes. Volume 1 has 5 episodes while the second volume has 4 episodes.

Stranger Things has been a massive success for Netflix. It garnered huge viewership across the globe. The series has received critical acclaim for its characterization, atmosphere, acting, soundtrack, directing, writing, and homages to 1980s films. It has received many awards and nominations, including 39 Primetime Emmy Award nominations (six wins).
