South Indian Movies Premiering This Week On OTT: Bangarraju, Hridhyam & More

It is going to be a big weekend for OTT fans. As many as 50 new titles will premiere on Indian OTT platforms this weekend. We are listing down Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam movies premiering on top OTT platforms this weekend. Let’s have a look.

Bangarraju (Streaming on Zee5 from Feb 18)

Bangarraju is a sequel to the 2016 movie Soggade Chinni Nayana. It stars Akkineni Nagarjuna and Ramya Krishna who reprise their roles from the original alongside Naga Chaitanya and Krithi Shetty.

Despite mixed reviews, the family drama opened to decent numbers at the box office. Now, it will make its digital debut on Zee5 on Feb 18, 2022.

83 (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from Feb 18)

Directed by Kabir Khan, the biographical sports drama starring Ranveer Singh is based on team India’s triumphant run in the 1983 Men’s cricket world cup. 83 opened to terrific reviews but failed to make much impact at the box office. Now, it is set to release on OTT.

The Hindi language version of 83 makes its digital debut on Netflix on Feb 18. The Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada versions will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on the same day.

Hridhyam (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from Feb 18)

Released in theatres on Jan 21, 2022, this coming-of-age drama movie opened to incredible reviews. Pranav Mohanlal and Kalyani Priyadarshan in the lead roles, the movie received applause from the viewers. It is one of the rare Malayalam blockbusters in recent times with a collection of Rs 52 crores.

Directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan, Hridhyam will start streaming on Disney+ Hotstar on Feb 18, 2022.

Enemy (Streaming on Sony LIV from Feb 18)

The action-thriller stars Vishal and Arya in lead roles. Directed by Anand Shankar and produced by Vinod Kumar, the movie opened to mixed reviews. Enemy is a typical stylist south Indian thriller. It will make is digital debut on Sony LIV on Feb 18, 2022.

Meppadiyan (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video from Feb 18)

This Malayalam drama stars Unni Mukundan, Kottayam Ramesh, Saiju Kurup,[2] Aju Varghese in lead roles. Meppadiyan received positive reviews when it debuted in theatres on Jan 14, 2022. It will be made available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video from Feb 18, 2022.
