Will Sooryavanshi becomes Akshay Kumar’s first movie to cross Rs 300 crore mark in India? Check our box office analysis.
Multiplexes and cinema halls were closed for almost seven months, causing a big loss to the entertainment industry. The government of India has allowed Cinemas, theatres, and multiplexes to reopen with 50 percent of their seating capacity. This decision comes as a big relief for the entertainment industry. Due to lockdown, the release of several Bollywood big movies like Sooryavanshi, Radhe, and 83 have been postponed. Now the fans are eagerly waiting for the theatrical release of these biggies.
The new release date of Radhe hasn’t been finalized yet while Sooryavanshi most probably will release next year on Republic day. The big question remains, how these movies will perform at the box office? What will be their box office fate?
Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi was scheduled for release on 24 March 2020. The trailer received a superb response and needless to say that the film was expected to take a bumper opening. A 4-minute 15-second trailer has a trademark Rohit Shetty touch complemented with Akshay Kumar’s star power, Ajay and Ranveer’s charismatic presence, and high-class action sequences. The trailer promises a blockbuster film.

Though Bollywood is going through a rough patch, we still believe that Sooryavanshi will create havoc at the box office. As the situation improves, people will come in big numbers to the multiplexes. Considering the pre-release buzz, one can only expect an earth-shattering opening at the box office. The film would be releasing on around 4000 screens. Trade experts believe that Sooryvanshi will take one of the biggest box office openings of all time. The opening day collection of Sooryavashi would be around Rs 40 crore.
Akshay Kumar is in prime form
Akshay Kumar is on a roll. His last three films, Mission Mangal, Housefull 4 and Good Newwz collected Rs 200+ crore at the domestic box office. It is almost certain that Sooryavanshi will be his fourth consecutive Rs 200 crore grosser. But will it become his first Rs 300 crore grosser?
If Sooryavanshi turns out what is promises then there is a definite chance that it will make it to the 300 crore club of Bollywood. Last year release Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff starrer WAR crossed Rs 300 crore mark in India. Sooryavanshi has a better appeal than WAR. It will appeal to mass as well as the class audience.
Rohit Shetty has an impeccable success rate with mass films like Simmba and Singham. With Sooryavanshi, he is out all guns blazing. He has given it all. If the entertainment quotient is fine then Sooryavanshi will definitely cross Rs 300 crore mark in India.
