Sonam Kapoor was surprised when she bagged the role opposite Salman

Bollywood’s fashionista Sonam Kapoor has already finished her first schedule with Dabangg Salman Khan for Sooraj Barjatya’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, recently in Karjat. The Actress reveals, that she was so excited when she was offered the role opposite Salman, that her first reaction was “Oh My God!”

Sonam claims that she has loved Salman’s Prem avatar over her childhood years and she has grown up watching hit duo Sooraj Barjatya-Salman Khan movies like Maine Pyaar Kiya and Hum Aapke Hain Koun. The Kapoor kudi has worked earlier with Salman in her debut movie Saawariya and she is all praise for Salman. Sonam says, “Working with Sooraj-ji and Salman is like the weirdest thing because I have grown up watching Prem and it’s like, ‘Oh my god! Prem is romancing me….We have finished our first schedule. It’s been seven years since I worked with him…I have known Salman all my life, but he is amazing. He is a professional and he has got the highest amount of IQ.”

Sonam continues her praise for co-star Salman Khan – “I have never seen him being nasty to anyone or rude to anybody. He has immense respect for women and he is extremely hardworking. He is always on time, always improvising. He is one of the best actors I have ever worked with. He is always trying to do something different.”

Sonam Kapoor will be playing a Princess in Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and will be seen in beautiful Ghagra-Cholis, Chudhidars and Kurtas.

However, Sonam is currently promoting her soon-to-be-released film Khoobsurat co-starring Pakistani hunk Fawad Khan. Sonam will be playing the role of a physiotherapist who goes to Rajasthan and ends up working at a Royal palace. She then falls for the handsome Prince Fawad Khan and how she juggles her life being a ‘Royal Misfit’ and a girl in love is how the story evolves.

Directed by Shashanka Ghosh, Khoobsurat will hit the theaters on 19th September, 2014.
