Sakshi Malik created history during the Rio Olympics and it’s only fair that Sonakshi Sinha wants to do a biopic on wrestler Sakshi Malik.
Biopics are a common plot in Bollywood nowadays and Sonakhi Sinha has come up with another one. Yes, Sonakshi Sinha wants to do a biopic on wrestler Sakshi Malik. This happened during the LikeAGirl campaign that aims to promote awareness on women empowerment, where both Sonakshi and Sakshi were present.
Here is what’s on Sonakshi Sinha’s mind-
“If anyone would offer me the biopic on Sakshi Malik I would love to do it. Sakshi also said I am a strong girl. She has also given her nod for me to do the biopic. We need more attention on other sports. Earlier only cricket was given importance but today Kabaddi, Badminton, Wrestling are also getting attention. All sports needs to be given equal platform just like cricket. We have a long way to go. Sakshi’s win at the Olympics is giving push to the wrestling”
At the 2016 Summer Olympics, Sakshi Malik won the bronze medal in the 58 kg category, becoming the first Indian female wrestler to win a medal at the Olympics and the fourth female Olympic medalist from the country. Her story will undoubtedly be an inspiring tale.
