Box Office Report: Shivaay, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil 3rd Week Collection Report

Ajay Devgn’s Shivaay and Ranbir Kapoor’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil in their third week have been severely impacted by demonetization. Both movies have witnessed huge drops in the third week thanks to the new release Rock On 2 and ban on Rs 500, 1000 notes. Though Rock On 2 itself turned out to be a disaster at the Box Office, it took a large number of screens in metros and multiplexes. Let’s have a detailed look at the third week Box Office report of Shivaay and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil 3rd Week Box Office Report

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil in its third week has been affected by currency ban. As per the official numbers shared by Taran Adarsh, ADHM earned 5.35 crores in the third week. After 21 days, the movie stands at the collection of 110.21 crores.

Not only in India, ADHM has performed exceptionally well in overseas. The movie has earned 81.81 crores from overseas. After three weeks, ADHM stands at the worldwide collection of 236 crores. It is now the second highest worldwide grosser of 2016.

With the release of Force 2 and Tum Bin 2, ADHM will drop further as the number of screens has been reduced. It will probably add 1-2 crores to its kitty. ADHM will remain the fifth highest grosser of 2016.

Shivaay 3rd Week Box Office Report

The monetization has impacted Shivaay more compared to Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Shivaay was doing most of its business in smaller and mass centres where a large number of tickets are bought in cash. As per the reports, Shivaay third week collection is 4.6 crores. After 21 days, Shivaay stands at the collection of 98.5 crores.

With the collection of 97.5 crores, Shivaay is now the sixth highest grossing movie for Ajay Devgn. It has beaten the lifetime collection of Rajneeti (93 crores).

Shivaay is struggling to enter the 100 crore club of Bollywood. If the movie manages to earn 100 crores, it will be Ajay Devgn’s sixth 100 crore movie after Son Of Sardaar, Singham, Singham Returns, Bol Bachchan and Golmaal 3. Shivaay has turned out to be a flop at the Box Office as it failed to recover its budget (120 crores).
