Mohit Suri’s Half Girlfriend may finally have Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon as the lead couple.
Shahid Kapoor was always the first choice for Chetan Bhagat’s Half Girlfriend film adaptation but things didn’t workout and the makers went ahead to sign Sushant Singh Rajput for the film. Unfortunately, even Sushant didn’t have dates available for half Girlfriend. So, the makers had no option but to go back to Shahid Kapoor.
According to a report by a leading daily, “Shahid was to play the Bihari loverboy. Then Shahid’s Shaandaar bombed and the film’s producers went to Sushant. Unfortunately for them, he had already given away those dates to Dinesh Vijan for his directorial debut.”
