A SRK movie promises to be violence-free but surprisingly, Shah Rukh Khan’s Fan gets 7 cuts by the Censor Board.

This known fact that a Shah Rukh Khan movie will have no violence whatsoever is about to change as his upcoming movie Fan gets 7 cuts by the Censor Board. Apparently, Fan features an extended scene of police brutality. It shows the obsessive star stalker Gaurav (Shah Rukh Khan) being thrashed in the lock-up while the star (also Shah Rukh Khan) urges the cops to beat the stalker.

A source of Bollywood Hungama revealed that “The scene of prolonged violence in lock-up where one Shah Rukh Khan urges the cops to beat up the other Shah Rukh was found to be unnecessarily prolonged. The censor board has asked the sequence to be reduced by 50 percent.”

Besides this visual cut, the censor board has also asked for 6 verbal cuts. Curse words in both Hindi and English have been asked to be deleted. Fan has been passed with a ‘UA’ certificate.
