Sanjay Leela Bhansali is a calm and composed man now. In an exclusive interview Mumbai Mirror, the ace director answers some of the questions that have been itching us for quite a while now. The Bajirao Mastani director has some excellent things to say for superstar Salman Khan.
When asked about Salman being the first choice for Bajirao Mastani, SLB said, “Yes, I had wanted Salman but things didn’t work out. We share a great bond and I know his good wishes are with me. He’s beyond all this, has reached cult status.”
The ace director further admitted that he hasn’t seen Prem Ratan Dhan Payo but wants to. “Sooraj (Barjatya) and Salman are my favourite combo and my dear Sonam (Kapoor) is in it.
SLB denies the rumours of a public spat with Salman saying, “Today, I may not be working with him but I am indebted to Salman for all that he’s done for me. If there’s any reason for him to be upset, it has to do with me and not him.”
Bajirao Mastani is SLB’s most ambitious project to date. After been shelved for many a times in last twelve years, the movie is finally set for release on 18 Dec 2015.
