In the noon shows, the occupancy remains same as the morning shows. Delhi, Mumbai and Punjab were the best-performing circuits. In evening and nights shows, the occupancy was as high as 70% in circuits like Delhi and Mumbai. Rustom remained the first choice for multiplex audience.
Rustom Opening Day Collection
Rustom first day Box Office collection is 14.11 crores. The movie has emerged as the fourth highest opening day grosser of 2016 after Sultan, Fan and Housefull 3. Akshay Kumar now has three movies in top 5 opening day grossers of 2016.
Moehenjo Daro Opening Day Occupancy
Mohenjo Daro got off to a poor opening with occupancy in the morning shows was as low as 25%. This is Hrithik Roshan’s lowest opening since Guzaarish which was released in 2010. In north Indian circuits, the opening was even less than small budget movies like Baaghi, Ki and Ka, Kapoor and Sons. Down South, the movie opened to good numbers with occupancy in the range of 45% to 50%. There is a big reason to worry for Hrithik Roshan and Ashutosh Gowariker as the movie failed to witness any growth in the noon shows. Rustom is way ahead of Mohenjo Daro in all circuits except South. The overall occupancy on the first day around 30%. (Read: Mohenjo Daro critics reviews)
