Rustom 7th Day Collection: With the collection of 90.90 crores, Rustom is now the 2nd highest opening week grosser of 2016.
Akshay Kumar and Ileana D’Cruz starrer Rustom continued its fabulous run on Thursday as well. The movie took full advantage of the Raksha Bandhan holiday especially in circuits like Rajasthan, UP and Gujarat. After a superb opening weekend (extended) with the collection of 68.23 crores, the movie maintained a strong hold on weekdays collecting 23 crores from Tuesday to Thursday. As per the official numbers shared by Taran Adarsh, Rustom 7th day collection is 8.61 crores. The movie had a very strong first week with the collection of 90.90 crores.

Rustom 1st day collection: 14.11 crores (4th highest of 2016)
Rustom 2nd day collection: 16.43 crores

With the first week collection of 90.90 crores, Rustom is now the second highest opening week grosser of 2016 after Sultan. Rustom has also emerged as the highest opening week grosser for Akshay Kumar beating Airlift which earned 83.5 crores in its first week.
In just a week, Rustom has emerged as the fourth highest grosser of 2016. On its 7th day, its has beaten the lifetime collection of Fan (85 crores). Rustom is now the 8th highest grossing movie for Akshay Kumar. It has beaten the lifetime collection of GIB (87 crores), OMG (83 crores) and Brothers (82.47 crores).
Well, the trend is excellent and Rustom is looking to continue the victorious run in coming days. The other release Mohenjo Daro has crashed down and this week releases, Happy Bhaag Jayegi and UnIndian won’t post big competition.
Rustom is on its way to become the fastest 100 crores grosser for Akshay Kumar. Currently, Airlift holds this record with 10 days. Trade analysts have the opinion that Rustom has a solid chance to beat Rowdy Rathore and Airlift to become Akshay Kumar’s highest grosser ever.
