Rohit Shetty’s blockbuster horror-comedy movie Golmaal Again to re-release in New Zealand post COVID-19.

As the fear of COVID-19 subsides, the entertainment industry is also coming back to the track. Rohit Shetty’s blockbuster comedy movie ‘Golmaal Again’ will re-release in New Zealand on 25 June 2020. Producers of the film, Reliance Entertainment shared the news of its official Twitter account. The tweet reads, The Kiwis are back to theatres and #GolmaalAgain becomes the first Hindi film to be screened post COVID-19. Cheers to a new beginning!”

On Wednesday morning, Rohit Shetty shared the news on his Instagram profile. Rohit Shetty, in his post, wrote: “New Zealand decides to re-release Golmaal Again in theatres making it the first Hindi film to get a re-launch post COVID. New Zealand is now COVID free and is opening its theatres on June 25 with Golmaal Again.”

So, Golmaal Again will be the first Hindi film to be screened post COVID-19. New Zealand is one of the few countries declared COVID free. However, a couple of days back two new cases were reported, ending the virus-free spell for the country.

Golmaal Again is the fourth installment of the popular Golmaal series. The horror-comedy movie stars Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Kemmu, Shreyas Talpade, Johnny Lever, Parineeti Chopra, Tabu, Prakash Raj and Neil Nitin Mukesh. In India, Golmaal Again released on Diwali 2017 and earned more than Rs 200 crore.

Last year, Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn announced Golmaal 5. Announcing the film, Ajay wrote: “A film franchise which is not only the longest-running one in Hindi cinema but also happens to be one of my favourites! Prepare yourself for yet another laugh riot with Golmaal Five.”

Golmaal Again is streaming on Amazon Prime Video. If you love mindless comedies, give it a try.
