Riverdale Season 5 First Look: The CW network is all set to premiere the upcoming season from Jan 20, 2021. Photos released ahead of the show’s return show Archie, Veronica, and the rest of the gang attending prom.
The fifth season of Riverdale is all set to premiere on The CW network next month. Before the season’s premiere, the creator of the show, Roberto Aguirre Sacasa, shared a pic from the sets on his Twitter account. He wrote in his tweet “Did somebody say fire?” #Riverdale returns to the CW on 1/20/2021.”

Popular entertainment website TVLine has also released some exclusive pics from Riverdale’s season 5 premiere episode. These pics show Archie, Veronica, and the rest of their classmates at prom. As most of us know, Riverdale is a popular American teen drama television series based on the characters of Archie Comics. The series was adapted for The CW by Archie Comics’ chief creative officer Roberto Aguirre Sacasa and is produced by Warner Bros. Television and CBS Television Studios.
The show also has a spinoff series, Katy Keene, that was cancelled after the first season. The CW renewed Riverdale for season 5 in January 2020, when season 4 was airing. In fact, the fourth season of the show was cut short by three episodes due to the corona pandemic. The prom episode was originally slated to air in Season 4 but got pushed back as the stars cast failed to film the episode due to the coronavirus pandemic.
In season 5 of Riverdale, we will see an incredibly big mystery to unravel and a lot of relationship stuff going on. We’ll see relationships sorting out and the characters past college and then back to Riverdale.

Riverdale is one of the most popular teen show on the CW network. Not only in the United States, but the show has also gained global popularity thanks to its availability on Netflix. The first four seasons are available on Netflix. Season 5 will premiere on The CW network on Jan 20, 2021. It will soon premiere on Netflix too.
Riverdale Season 5: What to expect
According to CapitalFM’s report, Riverdale Season 5 will start from where its Season 4 ended. In the upcoming season, all the characters will be reuniting after seven years. This time gap will provide new energy and boost to the show. It will up the excitement level of the fans who are looking for some change.
As mentioned above, the filming of Riverdale was put to a halt due to the global pandemic. Season 4 of the show was cut short by three episodes. The series restarted filming officially back in September in Vancouver.
