Actress Richa Chaddha will be seen in a Punjabi look, playing a small town girl in Aishwarya Rai starrer Sarbjit. Here’s more about Richa Chaddha’s new Avatar-
After giving a breathtaking performance in Masaan last year, Richa Chaddha is all set to comeback in a totally new avatar for Sarbjit. She will be playing the character of Sarbhit’s wife in the film who is a small town girl and belongs to a sikh family.
For this role, Richa has undergone a serious makeover. She resembles a sikh woman with colorful churidar, loud make-up, long plaits and excessive Jewelry. Apart from this makeover, the actress has also learned Punjabi dialect.
Directed by Omung Kumar, this movie will also feature Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as Dalbir Kaur(Sarbjit’s Sister) and Randeep Hooda as Sarbjit. The shooting commenced in December and is slated to release on May 19-2016, and will also be screened at the Cannes Film Festival 2016.
