Raees vs Kaabil First Week Collection: Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees and Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil have lived up to expectations. After a superb opening weekend with the collection of 67+ crores and 93+ crores, both movies manages to remain stable on weekdays. Collectively, Raees and Kaabil earned around 222 crores in 9 days which is a good amount for the movies released on Republic day weekend.
Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees had a superb opening as it earned 20.42 crores. On the other hand, Kaabil had an average opening and it managed to earn only 10.43 crores. Both movies took full advantage of the Republic day holiday and witnessed huge growth. Raees earned 26.3 crores while Kaabil made a strong comeback and earned 18.67 crores on Republic Day.

On Monday, Raees dropped by 60% while Kaabil saw a drop of 40%. Since Monday, both movies remained stable over the weekdays. Talking about the territory break-up, Kaabil reported better performance in metros and multiplexes while Raees remained the first choice in mass centres like Mumbai, Gujarat and Central India.

At the end of the first week, Raees is head of Kaabil by a margin of 30 crores. Though both movies remained stable on weekdays, Kaabil has shown better trend and is expected to have more shows from than Raees in the second week.

Both movies are already in the safe zone and it remained to be seen, which one will emerge as a clean hit at the domestic Box Office. Raees need 140 crores to be called a hit while Kaabil needs to earn 110 crores.
While the margin between the two movies is quite big and is shortening day by day, it will be interesting to see if Kaabil can take over Raees in the coming days.
