Priyanka Chopra released online the teaser of her upcoming biopic ‘Mary Kom’ on her birthday. Releasing the teaser on Twitter PC tweeted,

The teaser shows PC packing punch in the boxing ring. The teaser is of 53 seconds and the tagline says –“Most champions make their name. She made History”
The actor underwent intense training for the biopic and the teaser shows her totally in the character.
Director Omung Kumar says, “When we were in Manali, we had to make sure Priyanka got her three hours of training. But we had back-to-back schedules, so there was little time for her to train. Even then, after finishing the shoot late, she would go to the gym after midnight, train till 2 am and come back to the sets by 9 am. The shoot would be exhausting as she had to shoot complex training scenes during the day. We also shot outdoors in freezing temperatures; she performed all the stunts herself”.
The much awaited movie is Co-Produced by Viacom18 Motion Pictures and Sanjay Leela Bhansali Productions is slated to release on Oct 2nd, 2014.
