Priyanka Chopra on Mary Kom: Priyanka Chopra is really excited with the response that her upcoming biopic May Kom has received before its release. The fashion star has said that she has invested a part of her soul in the film and her heart will break if it fails at Box Office.
Priyanka Chopra says that Mary Kom is special for her and she has pushed her limits to do justice to the role. The actress has to undergo a tough physical regime to portray the role of champion boxer Mary Kom.
I started this film at the hardest point in my life, four days after my father passed away. All my grief, everything, I have shoved into this movie. Every single day of making this movie has been a challenge. A part of my soul has gone into it. I would go home, cry and tell my mother, ‘I don’t think I can do this’ and be back on the sets next day,” Priyanka told PTI in an interview in New Delhi.
Mary Kom is slated for this Friday release at Box Office and the actress is leaving no stone unturned to promote the movie across the country. She is next headed to Toronto for the movie’s world premiere in Toronto International Film Festival on 4 September.
Priyanka says that the movie needs good promotion as it is not a big budget masala movie. She further added that I want people to watch it because I know they will definitely be inspired by it. “Mary Kom is an entertaining movie because Mary Kom is a fun person and we have to cover this domain of her life as well” She said.
