Salman Khan‘s ‘Prem Rata Dhan Payo’ released on 12 Nov 2015 and as expected the movie was able to set the Box Office on fire. PRDP collected 40.5 crores (Hindi version) on its first day to become the second highest opening day grosser of Bollywood. Happy New Year remains the highest opening day grosser of Bollywood till date with the collection of 44.97 crores (all languages).
After a superb first opening weekend, the movie saw a significant drop on its first Monday and hasn’t been able to recover after that. PRDP performed on the same lines as last year’s Diwali release Happy New Year. SRK’s HNY also flushed at the Box Office after a record-breaking opening weekend and ended with the lifetime collection of 204 crores. PRDP, on the other hand, has raked in 206.63 crores till now and is expected to complete Box Office journey with a collection of 212 crores.
