Not Kriti Sanon, Pooja Hegde To Star In Salman Khan’s Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali

Actress Pooja Hegde has been cast opposite Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali. Directed by Farhad Samji, the film will release on Eid 2021.

Salman Khan’s upcoming movie ‘ Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali’ gets its leading lady. Yes, Pooja Hegde has been signed opposite Salman Khan in the film to be directed by Farhad Samji. Pooja is a well-known face in the south. She had worked with Akshay Kumar in Housefull 4. The hot actress made her Bollywood debut in 2016 with Ashutosh Gowariker’s ‘Mohenjo Daro’. In the film, she was paired opposite Hrithik Roshan.

Sajid Nadiadwala who has earlier worked with Pooja Hegde in Housefull 4 stated, “Having worked with Pooja in ‘Housefull 4’, we felt she was a perfect fit for Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali. She has an amazing screen presence and will make for a good pair with Salman. They will bring freshness to the story.”

It is the first time Salman and Pooja are paired. The shooting of the film will start in October and before that the makers have planned several workshops for the lead couple to help break the ice and get comfortable with each other. Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali will be a family entertainer with Salman Khan once again in a larger than life role.

Apart from Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali, Salman and Sajid Nadiadwala are also reuniting for Kick 2. The scripting of the film is in the final stages and the pre-production work will start soon. Sajid Nadiadwala made his directional debut with Kick released on Eid 2014. The film was a huge box office hit. Since then Salman Khan fans are waiting for its sequel. Talking about Kick 2,  Salman will start shooting for the film once he completes Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali. Kick 2 is scheduled for Christmas 2021 release.
