Official Report: Pink 7th Day Collection, Excellent First Week At Domestic Box Office

Pink 7th Day Collection: Amitabh Bachchan’s Pink had an excellent opening week. The movie earned 35.91 crores at the domestic Box Office.
Amitabh Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu and Kriti Kulhari starrer Pink had an excellent opening week at the domestic Box Office. The movie has again proved that the content will always remain the king irrespective of the budget and star cast. After a superb opening weekend with the collection of 21.51 crores, the movie continues it glorious march on the weekdays too.

Pink is holding strong and it has literally thrashed the other release, Raaz Reboot at the domestic Box Office. As per the early estimates, Pink 7th day collection is 3.24 crores.

With the collection of 3.24 crores, Pink now stands at the collection of 35.91 crores. The first week collection of Pink is the 13th highest of 2016. It has beaten the opening week collection of movies like Neerja, Wazir, Azhar, Akira and Jai Gangaajal.

Pink is trending exactly like Neerja, which after a low opening went on to collect 35.32 crores in the opening week. Neerja holds solidly for five weeks and ends up being a super hit with the lifetime collection of 76 crores. Pink is following the same path and it won’t be surprising if it emerges as one of the big hits of 2016.

Pink is already a hit at the Box Office as it has recovered its budget of 26 crores. Not only in India, Pink is also performing well in overseas. The movie has reportedly grossed 8 crores in overseas till Wednesday. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted:

With no big release next week, Pink is expected to remain strong. The movie may cross the 50 crores mark by the end of the second weekend. Another super hit for Shoojit Sircar.
