Piku Second Day Box Office Collection: Big Jump

Shoojit Sircar’s Piku registered a huge jump on the second day. Piku Second Day Box Office Collection is around 8 crores.

Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan starrer Piku was released on Friday along with Sunny Leone’s Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. As expected, the movie got off to a decent start at domestic Box Office. After raking in decent 5.32 crores on opening day, the movie showed superb growth on second day. Piku collected around 8 crores on its second day at Box Office to take its total Box Office collection to 14 crores.

Since, the movie is directed by Shoojit Sircar expectations were good as far as the content is concerned. Shoojit Sircar hits the bulls-eye once again as Piku has got superb rating from critics. The movie is liked by each and every critic with rating ranges from 3.5 to 5 stars. Piku is now the top-rated movie of 2015. The reviews and response from the public are also positive.

Released on around 1300 screens, 14 crores in two days is a superb figure as the movie is targeted mainly to the multiplex audience. Piku is strong in metros like Mumbai, New Delhi, NCR and Pune.

With such great reviews, Piku is likely to show superb growth on coming days like most of Shoojit Sircar movies. The movie is expected to close the first weekend with the collection of around 22 crores with is a superb figure for a multiplex movie.

Despite receiving rave reviews and excellent start, it would be difficult for the movie to recover its cost since the production value is very high. Piku is made on a big budget of around 55 crores. The movie has only one week to sustain as from next week most of the screens will be taken by Bombay Velvet.
