Phantom review by Pink Villa: With exquisite cinematography, charming shots and stellar stunts, Phantom scores as a terrific, taut, crisp, nail-biting thriller that will easily be unmatched for a long time to come. When we see the final shot of Taj and Gateway, it is hard to miss the feeling of satisfaction Kabir has conjured up. So what if isn’t true yet, some day the souls of those killed on that gruesome night will be avenged. Some day…

Phantom review by India.com: With his latest offering director Kabir Khan ensures that his audiences stay on the edge of the seat, absolutely resolutely, throughout the gripping watch (that Phantom is). He doesn’t take too long to build a concrete narrative and keeps the momentum going right till the end credits start rolling. And that makes Phantom a compelling watch indeed!

Phantom review by Talking Moviez: To sum up, Phantom is yet another feather under Kabir Khan’s hat. Right from the first frame, Kabir manages to evoke the curiosity with the gripping screenplay. Phantom is a straight forward take on terrorism and Kabir does not shy away to show the reality without being diplomatic. The director has gone ahead to use the real names of terrorists hiding in Pakistan and also exposed the activities of ISI helping the terrorists to live safely across the globe. The emotions of people who have lost their loved one in the attacks is also visible in the film. Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif’s power packed performance along with many heroic dialogues makes Phantom a must watch for all the Indians. After Kabul Express, New York and Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Phantom will help Kabir Khan create his own brand which very few directors in India have managed.

Phantom review by Rajeez Masand: A big problem with Phantom is that it’s never fast-paced and slick like the Bond or Bourne film that it so badly wants to be. This is Saif playing Rambo essentially, but each time he picks up a gun, you want to say: “Rakh de yaar, chal jayegi.”I’m going with a generous two out of five for Phantom. The jingoistic dialogue and the film’s questionable message aside, this is boring, inert stuff. The director’s last film Bajrangi Bhaijaan feels like Citizen Kane in comparison.

Phantom review by Koimoi: Not a must watch! The film does not live up to its hype. This is like watching a different version of Baby just that the agenda is different now.

Phantom review by TOI: As cinema, this thriller is over-simplified, though the gloss adds to the large-screen appeal. Saif is adept; Kat is pretty appealing (pun on the pretty because her make-up is intact even in the battlefield). Zeeshan and his jingoism in the climax gives you that proud-India moment. And, if you’re still licking the wounds of that senseless Mumbai massacre, then Phantom is the balm you should reach out

Phantom review by NDTV: The better actors in the cast – Sabyasachi Chakrabarty, Rajesh Tailang and Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub – are no more than mere passengers on this jerky ride.Phantom is a film that knows where it is going, but has no clue how to get there.
