Yellowstone Season 5 Premiere Date: After four super successful seasons, Duttons will be back again in November.
The fifth season of Paramount’s hit Western series Yellowstone will premiere this November. The series follows the Dutton family, led by patriarch John Dutton (Kevin Costner), trying to keep control over the largest ranch in Montana, the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch.
Created by Taylor Sheridan, Yellowstone has been a massive hit for Paramount since its debut in 2018. The series has improved its rating and viewership drastically over the years. The Season 4 finale amassed 10.3 million viewers, a 79% increase from the season three finale (5.8 million).
Paramount know that Yellowstone is its prime property and that’s the reason the company is expanding it at a rapid pace. Apart from Yellowstone getting a new season, Paramount has collaborated with Taylor Sheridan for several Yellowstone spin-offs.
Last year, the first Yellowstone prequel titled 1883 debuted on Paramount+. Starring Sam Elliot, Faith Hill, and Tim McGraw, it follows the first generation of the Dutton family as they set on a journey to the west, and own the land that would become the Yellowstone Ranch.
Like Yellowstone, 1883 also turned out a hit outing for the company. The limited series had a big debut with 4.9 million viewing the premiere. Though 1883 was a one-season series, Paramount+ announced that its previously ordered Bass Reeves miniseries will be a spin-off to 1883.
A spinoff titled 6666 is also in the works. It is about the Four Sixes Ranch in Texas. We were introduced to this location in Yellowstone Season 4 when John Dutton (Costner) sent Jimmy Hurdstrom (Jefferson White) there to become a cowboy. 6666 does not have an official release date, but it will also stream on Paramount Plus.
1923 is another prequel spin-off series in the Yellowstone universe. Taylor Sheridan recently stated that ‘1923’ is going to be a, “peek through a different window into a different era.”
The series starring Hollywood legends Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren will see a whole new generation of the Dutton Family during the time of Western Expansion, Prohibition, and the Great Depression.
What do we know more about Yellowstone Season 5?
Yellowstone‘s fifth season will be the longest yet for the series, with 14 episodes. Earlier it was reported that it will be split into two parts. However, it doesn’t seem the case now. Season 5 premieres on Nov 13, 2022. You can read more about Yellowstone Season 5 here.
