Padman Release Date: It’s Akshay Kumar Vs Akshay Kumar on Republic Day 2018.
We have seen a lot of Box Office clashes this year with Raees Vs Kaabil, Secret Superstar Vs Golmaal Again. But 2018 will be unique as we will witness a different kind of clash. Yes, the release date of Padman has been announced we may witness two Akshay Kumar movies clashing at the box office.
The actor took to Twitter to share the first look poster of the film and announce the release date. Padman will release on January 26, 2018, a day after his film 2.0 which also star Rajnikanth and Amy Jackson. Check the first look poster of Padman:

Though the two movies are of different genres, 2.0 is a mega budget movie and will certainly crash Padman at the box office. Padman is a low budget movie based on the journey of Arunachalam Muruganantham, who invented a machine that makes low-cost, affordable sanitary napkins for underprivileged women. While 2.0 is for masses and is expected to shatter all box office records, Padman is for niche audience only.
Directed by R. Balki, Padman also stars Radhika Apte and Sonam Kapoor. The movie marks the debut of Akshay Kumar’s wife Twinkle Khanna’s production house Mrs Funnybones Movies.
We think that the release date of 2.0 may be postponed further as it looks highly unlikely that Akshay Kumar will let his two good movies clash at the box office.
