We were in deep shock when we heard this news. While shooting some sequences of his upcoming movie Padmavati, Sanjay Leela Bhansali gets slapped.
When Aamir Khan said that he was thinking about leaving India, the whole nation burst out on him and called him out for calling India ‘intolerant’. Today, our country has given another example of its greatness. The shooting of Padmavati has been going on in Jaipur for a few day now. This went a bit too far when Sanjay Leela Bhansali gets slapped by some violent goons of Rajput Karni Sena.
This is just a classic example of how a mob can take control of the way people do things in the country and ruin it all for the rest of us. Apparently, many members of the Sena broke into the sets, slapped Bhansali, pulled his hair and broke many pieces of equipment on the set. The mob was angry about the alleged love-scenes between Deepika Padukone, who plays Rani Padmini and Ranveer Singh, who plays Alauddin Khilji. They claimed that no such thing ever happened and they movie is distorting history. Bhansali has asked two days time to get back to them. The shooting has been stopped for the time being and the crew in returning to Mumbai.
Many Bollywood celebs came forward in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s support and expressed their shock at the incident. Filmmaker Karan Johar was the first one to express his anger-
Am appalled at what has happened with Sanjay Bhansali….this is the time for all us as an industry to stand by our people and fraternity!!

The ONLY way is of strict action to never let this repeat. Letting this slip by simply permits and encourages this atrocity. #IStandBySLB
